Saratoga Race Course is a 350-acre racetrack in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Site of the the Travers Stakes, America's oldest major thoroughbred horse race. The Saratoga annual meet consists of a six-week meeting with Labor Day as the last day of racing. Saratoga is the home of the 136th Running of the Travers Stakes on Aug. 27, 2005.
Saratoga has three racetracks:
Main Track: One and one eighth's Mile, oval.
Mellon Turf: One Mile, 98 feet.
Turf Course: Seven Furlongs, 304 feet.
